Board Agenda Information Process
Statement of Commitment
The Governing Board and its staff recognize the importance of making board meeting information available to the public and are committed to having materials available on line and for review in the Governing Board Office as early as possible prior to a board meeting and most certainly within the timelines prescribed by Arizona statute.
- Generally, drafted agendas are posted on the Board Agenda page and in the front window of the Morrow Education Center by the close of day on the Friday prior to a Tuesday meeting. In any event, apart from emergency meetings (reference A.R.S.§ 38-431.02), agendas are posted no less than 24 hours prior to a board meeting.
- Unless prevented by extenuating circumstances, agenda items will be available on line for public review by 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the board meeting on the Agenda Items page. Please note that all agenda items are DRAFT until the Board acts on them. Please be aware that items are numbered in accordance with the published agenda. To view actions taken by the Board, please see Board Actions on the Governing Board page after the meeting has taken place.
An agenda packet will also be available in the Board Office by 10:00 a.m. the day prior to the board meeting and will continue to be available during regular business hours until the start of the meeting.
Individuals may want to call the Board Office (520/225-6070) prior to reviewing agenda items in the event that receipt of certain materials has been delayed. Due to limited resources and staff, individual agenda packets are distributed only to a limited number of people as determined by the Director of Staff Services.
- In accordance with a public records request, copies of materials may be obtained pursuant to Board Policy Code KDB – Public’s Right to Know/Freedom of Information and its accompanying Administrative Regulation, and Exhibit (in PDF).
- Questions regarding board meeting agendas or materials may be directed to the Director of Staff Services (520/225-6070).
